Heroes Four Hire is actually one person, Joey Costello. Since Joey is not Superman (tm) however, he drags a bunch of other people along with him when goes to play with swords and stuff. It is this group of people that makes up the collective known throughout the world of Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach as Heroes Four Hire. Join us in the adventure of meeting the individuals that get together on a fairly regular basis to swing pointy objects at each other for fun and profit. Maria Diaz
Maria has been involved with Heroes-Four-Hire since February of 2001, when she was handed a rapier and a metal pot strainer that she used as a fan. Throwing a set of enormous buck teeth into the mix, Maria stepped up to the plate and earned her place as our comedic relief. Maria has also established herself as our resident make-up artist, as none of the guys were willing to be caught buying mascara and blush at a public establishment. More Maria? Just follow the bouncing link ... |

Christina Judkins
Christina has been doing Renaissance Festivals for the last fifteen years, yet it was only when Joey dragged her kicking and screaming into the fight ring that she finally became serious about wanting to do this crap and get paid for it. Eager to find a tall building to fall off of, Christina is usually the nagging voice behind getting classes started up again only a month or so after the faire season has ended. But wait! There's more!

Christina Waggoner
Chrissy, as she's known to the rest of the group, is one of the two members who has actually had competitive fencing training. Coming from that background, Chrissy doesn't want to know that she's doing a cut to 2, she just needs to know that she has to hit her opponent at his (or her) right thigh. In addition to her fighting skills, Chrissy brings her costuming ability to a group of people who tear clothes on a regular basis. Words alone cannot describe Chrissy, but we're gonna try ... |

Shawn Waggoner
The strong and silent type, Shawn's vast knowledge of historical fighting styles has added a new dimension to the group. With over fifteen years of competitive fencing and live steel combat in other venues, Shawn retains all his limbs and most of his wit (kidding!) and has consented to subject himself to choreographed stage combat. Come and delve further into the unique world of Shawn |

Matthew Betlach
Matt began performing at the tender age of 15 and picked up his first sword shortly thereafter, making him the youngest member of the troupe. His innocent appearance and boyish demeanor hide an amazingly agile swordsmanship and versatile wit. After several years of portraying the Rat Catcher in the local Renaissance Faire, Matt decided to become a world-class chef, which led to his current status as a student at Johnson and Wales in Providence, RI and his appointment as the official cook for the group. Upon each visit home, Matt is roped into serving up one of the main staples of the group; Cheesy Bread. Oh, occasionally he's required to perform in a fight, too. Heeerrreee's Matt! |

Lindsley Casey
Lindsley is one of the few members of Heroes who has performed in more than one professional theatre production and actually gotten paid for it. Eager to make a name for herself, Lindsley took off to New York City and then to Los Angeles and now currently resides in Las Vegas. A licensed Massage Therapist (yes, a real one), Lindsley is also a very talented fighter, bringing her own brand of comedic wit to the group. Stay tuned! More Lindsley coming right up! |

Larry Stoermer
A man of many talents, Larry (and his multiple personalities) brings a strong desire to set himself on fire during a show. As the Errol Flynn / Basil Rathbone of the group, Larry's fight motto is "It doesn't matter whether you win or lose as long as you look good doing it". Heroes is also proud to announce that Larry is the one of the few members with a movie credit under his belt ... all 30 seconds of it. Just when you thought there couldn't be any more ... |
