Q. Where were you born?
Westover AFB, Chickopee Falls, Massachusetts
Q. Where did you grow up?
Air Force brat. My father took us from coast to coast for years - Massachusetts, Alabama, California and Virginia with a very brief stint in Maine and an even briefer stint in Washington DC. When I was about 9, we got lucky and landed smack-dab in the middle of the country (Omaha, Nebraska) and got stuck there. After my parents divorced, I only managed to move between Nebraska and Iowa. After deciding I'd had enough of the "Good Life" (yes, the Nebraska motto), I finally escaped back to a water state and have been living in various places in Florida ever since.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
(assuming that you actually have finished doing so)
I wanted to be in the military. When I got older, I just wanted to date a guy who was in the military.
Q. If you won the lottery, what would you do and why?
(paying off all your bills and/or investing is a given)
Travel. I would buy a huge RV and just spend the time traveling across the country. Then I would rent a sailboat big enough to live in (because I don't need to own a hole in the water) and travel up and down the coast. Then I would go to other countries and travel across them. I would also like to learn a few languages so that I don't sound like a tourist when I'm in said other countries.
Q. If you had 3 wishes, what would you wish for and why?
(and none of this wishing for more wishes crap
- that doesn't count)
#1 - I'd wish that our lawmakers and government officials were under some type of geas that forced them to tell the truth and have a moral conscious.
#2 - I'd wish that I could always stick my hand in my pocket/purse and pull out however much money I needed (with a plausible and legal reason about why I had this money) to pay for whatever I was purchasing at that point in time.
#3 - I'd wish good luck, happiness, content and fortune to all my friends.
Q. Where would you like to be/what would you like to be doing in 5 years?
Independently wealthy. I'd like to own a bunch of houses
and/or townhouses and continue my rise to high-falutin' slum-lordship. I'd
like to be in a large house that has secret hallways and concealed doors and
a high-tech internal computer system, on an even larger piece of land that
is situated at a comfortable distance between the beach and hills that are
big enough for hiking.
Q. What are your hobbies?
(besides hitting other people with swords)
Lots of book reading. I love learning. I want to learn
Spanish (besides knowing how to yell at Maria's kids) and Sign Language and
Russian. I also enjoy snow-skiing, horseback riding, paintball, shooting and
now sailing. I guess you could include playing the tenor drum in a bagpipe
band as a hobby as well. I'd like to consider exercising and weight training
as a hobby, but they aren't fun yet. I'm still waiting for that part.
